On a very warm Saturday afternoon, I donated my time to Freedom Farm, a therapeutic riding program in Watertown MN, by photographing their polo fundraiser. I had never been to a polo match, so I was pretty excited to photograph these athletes, and help out a worthy cause.
I also got the sunburn of the year. It hurt for over a week! I’m kind of dangerous to myself when I’m engaged in photography. I forget about things like re-applying sunscreen.

I couldn’t resist.

The kids in the red, white, and blue shirts ride at Freedom Farm. They got to hand out prizes!

The horses were worked so hard! Riders had 3-4 horses and would swap them out between chuckers.

Used ball – fresh ball.

The ref’s horse.

The action got pretty intense at times!

The horses are pretty bendy…

Storms started to roll in near the end. There was damage in the area from strong winds within an hour of everyone leaving the grounds.

This one might have my job someday! :D

Pretty much my favorite shot from the whole event!
