I’m very excited to share some news with my blog readers today! First, I have started working with a new photo lab – MpixPro! They are a new division of Miller’s Professional Imaging, a well-established professional photo lab, who also own Mpix.com (who I recommend to all my clients who purchase digital files). MpixPro caters to professional photographers who don’t need the number of options that Millers offers, but need a higher level of service, and higher end product than Mpix offers.
I recently ordered a bunch of sample product from them and I am blown away! The quality of their printing is OUTSTANDING! Crisp, clear, colorful prints with a more complete dynamic range than the labs I have been using. Skin tones are perfect and the color is very accurate to my calibrated monitor. They also have beautiful drop-ship packaging, press printed products, and a lot of album choices. They use the ROES ordering software, which is very easy to use. If you’re a photographer, I recommend you sign up and get your 5 free 8×10 samples printed. I think you will love the quality of their printing!
So in a related note, next week, I’m going to the WPPI Convention in Las Vegas ! The photo above, which is featured on the MpixPro web site, was taken by me at the Cheryl Jacobs workshop in 2006! The photographer in that photo is my friend Jamie Schultz, who has been helping Millers develop MpixPro. We were having lunch the other day and our conversation came around to WPPI, and how fun it would be to go together. One thing led to another and MpixPro invited me to help our in their booth. I’m looking forward to a fun experience with Jamie, and getting to know the people behind my favorite photo lab better!
If you’re going to be at WPPI, please stop by and say “hi!” Our booth is right across from the Canon megabooth (how sweet is that??).
