There’s a new phenomenon in Minnesota – Vineyards! Before recently, grapes could not be grown here because of the short growing season and colder climate. Now new grapes have been engineered to thrive here, and vineyards are popping up all over.
One such vineyard is the Hinterlands Vineyard in Clara City, MN. They have already won some pretty impressive awards for their wines! Aric is part owner of the vineyard, so he and his lovely fiance Aftan thought it would be fun to have their engagement session there. It was a joy to photograph them together. They have an ease and warmth between them that made my job so easy. :)
This fall was just the worst for good photography weather. I had to reschedule my session with Aftan and Aric at least twice. The grapes were about to be harvested, so we went ahead with the session on this particular day when the winds were gusting to 50 miles and hour and it was raining off and on. The upside? I had some AMAZING skies near the end of the session!

I love how she looks at him…

…and how he looks at her. Love is beautiful.

No photoshop, my friends, this was a REAL double rainbow!
