I first encountered Radiant Worship at TheCall DC last summer. They are a very gifted group of musicians who know how to bring a crowd to their feet and connect their hearts to God!

On my recent trip to Kansas City, Radiant asked me to take promo photos for their upcoming CD and tour. I have to admit that I was both excited and nervous about the session, because groups can be hard to get creative with. We agreed to bring a couch out for a prop, and away we went! It was a lot of fun for all of us!

The next evening, I took photos of the band in action as they played at a teen camp.

This session was part practice with my photographer friends, and part senior session since Annie is heading off to college in a few days. We had a super amazingly fun time and Annie was a delightful subject!

I met Annie almost exactly a year ago. We were both a part of a big event on the Mall in DC called TheCall (see my photos from that day here). I thought Annie was in her 20s, and found out at the time she was more like 16 or 17! Definitely mature beyond her years! :)

I love Annie. She is fun-loving, compassionate, silly, crazy-smart, and loved by all who know her. And have I mentioned beautiful? Well, I’ll let you see for yourself!

Equine Photography Experience “Heart of the Horse” Fall Workshop 2009
    October 2-4, St. Cloud Minnesota
with Instructors Kimerlee Curyl and Shelley Paulson

You are invited to join us for a unique workshop, focused on exploring the relationship between horses and people through the medium of photography.

The “Heart of the Horse” workshop is geared toward experienced photographers wanting to take their equine photography to a deeper level of connectedness to the horse, and who want to learn more about capturing the deep bond between horses and those that love them.

This is not a “how-to” equine photography workshop. We will not be covering basics like timing, posing, etc. We want to empower people to move beyond the basics and technical issues into photographing horses from the heart.

We are excited to have Nita Jo Rush as one of our models. Nita and her horses will amaze you. They are an ultimate testament to the connection one can share with their horse. We will spend a day with Nita at her beautiful facility with her and her horses as our models. We will have a variety of different shoots set up within this one amazing location. Nita is a 3 star Parelli instructor and to watch her with her horses is pure poetry in motion.

There will be four exciting experiential photography sessions throughout the workshop, with a Saturday afternoon lecture by Nita Jo Rush. Sunday’s shoots will be a variety of breeds and locations, including liberty shoots with a beautiful Gypsy Vanner stallion, mares and babies. We will also have lots of group discussion and discovery time.

Photography sessions will include opportunities and topics such as:

    • Joining the herd
    • The horse/human bond
    • Respecting the horse
    • The “decisive moment”
    • Horses as poetry in motion
    • Blind Photography

Join us for this uplifting experience!
