In October, I did a mentoring session for a budding photographer. Kenzie was our “model” and the daughter of a mutual friend, KIm. I am working on setting up a formal mentoring program for next summer, and have done just a few this year, which have been good learning experiences for me, as well as them! I enjoy having just one or two people to teach at a time. I am pretty excited about the possibilities!

Side note: Kenzie’s mom Kim does these great tree paintings that I am just in love with! Check them out in her Etsy store.

So back to Kenzie. We just shot around my house and at a park a few blocks away. Kenzie was wonderfully patient, as we stopped often for questions and answers. She was super fun to photograph and has the most amazing blue eyes. I did NOT enhance them in these photos and she doesn’t wear colored contacts. Wow!

Note: I have some sessions I wrote blog entries for before I embedded the EXIF data into my photos, so for the next few entries, the settings will still be in my posts.

       giftofphotography.jpg

Twas three days before Christmas, and all through the city, people were scrambling for gifts, all in a tizzy!

It’s not too late to give the gift of photography this Christmas!

You can give a gift in any amount, but my session fee is $200, so that is a good starting point.

Just e-mail me if you are interested and I’ll provide you with a secure online payment link for the amount of the gift you would like to give. I can then send you a PDF you can print out, or you can pick up an actual certificate (nicely packaged as in the photograph above).
