Joyce attended one of my workshops last summer and remembered me when she needed some photos of herself with her horse, Bowtie. She is a very gifted artist and has painted some “Painted Ponies” which are going to be on sale soon, and needed a photo for her online bio. I was thrilled she asked and looked forward to seeing her again and taking these photos. We started the session in her barn, where there was really lovely light coming in through the door.

Sorry my blog has been so slow lately, I’ve been busy with a whole bunch of things and was back in Kansas City for about five days. I just posted a quick photo journal of my weekend on my personal blog, if you’re interested…Jennifer and Daisy were fellow boarders at the farm in Kansas City where Maggie Sue lived while we were there. I am planning to do some portrait sessions there later this summer, but Jennifer is off to Mexico City for a couple of years, and Daisy is off to a friend’s farm, so I wanted to take some photo before I left.It was a beautiful spring evening when I took these. The colors in the forest were just stunning and the backlight made them almost glow!Â

This is my last Spring Senior entry. These were shorter sessions, so I’m going to combine them in one entry.

First up is Abigail. She is one of my students and has been a joy to have in class. She is really sweet and follows her own path. I really admire that about her!

Next up is Bryan. I only met him the day we did the photos, but I had his sister Lillian in my class. I found him charming!
