On my trip to Kansas City, I also had the privilege of doing a photo session with Daniel Matthews, a member of Radiant Worship Band, who is also working on his own CD (which I can’t wait to hear!) Daniel is a really great guy and I enjoyed connecting with him regarding a similar path God has us both on right now.

The session took place in downtown Kansas City, near the Crossroads Arts District, and down by the River Market. I don’t do a whole lot of urban type photography, so this was a great stretching experience for me.

One of my favorite things about photographing musicians with their instruments is listening to them play while I take their photos. I also like to see the transformation in their eyes and expression when they are making music.

Jaye Thomas is a a full-time intercessory missionary and worship leader with the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City, MO. I made a recent visit down there and had the opportunity to photograph him. Jaye is pretty much one of the nicest people on the planet. We had a great time together and both laughed a LOT!
