Shelley Paulson Photography Blog – Minnesota Equine, Wedding and Portrait Photographer

It’s time to retreat from the hustle and bustle of life to refocus your heart and mind. Spend a long weekend photographing cowboys on horseback, working cattle at Stone Meadow Cow Camp, a rustic ranch just outside of Yosemite National Park. Come enjoy a taste of western life in an environment of learning and devotion to Christ.

The retreat will include photography instruction and personal coaching, including four hands-on photography sessions (sunrise and sunset each day Saturday and Sunday) as well as afternoon devotional teachings and discussion times to help you grow in your relationship with God and inspire you to connect your faith with your photography. Photography topics will include: finding the light, creative exposures, compelling compositions, connected portraits, natural posing, Lightroom editing techniques, efficient workflow and anything else participants want to know. I am an open book when I teach!

Amateur and professional photographers are welcome. The only pre-requisite is that you have a Digital SLR camera and a general understanding of how to use your equipment and work in Manual mode.

The photos your create at this retreat will be yours to do with as you wish, including selling as art or licensing for stock or publication.

What an awesome workshop! Would love to go. Three of my passions in life -God, horses, photography- co-mingled into one fun weekend…

Do you think you ever see yourself doing an online workshop or publication in the future Shelley? As always, love your work! Always come back and visit your site when in need of inspiration. :) God bless.

Hi Caryn! Thank you for the kind words – I wish you could go to the workshop!

I would love to do more online courses, I just have to see how to fit it into my schedule!
