When I shared a sneak peek photo on my Facebook page from Ryan and Emily’s wedding, I included this quote: “Once in awhile, Right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairy tale.” The love Ryan and Emily have for each other was so beautiful and so evident to me on their wedding day. They had a few bumps along the way, but to see them lean on each other, lift each other up, and laugh together is something I will always remember about this wedding.
Emily is a professional photographer and Ryan photographs weddings with her part time. I truly am honored that these two talented people would chose me to document their wedding day. Emily has photographed a lot of weddings, and she brought that experience to the planning of her own wedding. She and Ryan put a great deal of time and thought into every detail and created a wonderful experience for their guests.
I enjoyed the urban setting a LOT. As an artist, I’m inspired by a change in the scenery and this wedding offered me that opportunity! I’m about to share too many photos from this wedding, but I just loved all the moments, detail and texture of the day. I guess it’s my blog and I can do that, right? ;)
The ceremony was held at Mount Olivet Church, Minneapolis and the reception was at 514 Studios.

My second photographer Tiff took this one. She rocks!

While Ryan and Emily exchanged cards with handwritten notes inside, a song was playing in this courtyard. Ryan used his iPhone to find out the name of the tune, because the song was so fitting to the moment…

…the song was “Lovelier than You” by B.O.B.
Just a little excerpt:
“If I could rewind Both the hands of time
Still I would never find
A lovelier design Than you
I’m dangerously, dangerously, dangerously in love
I love her more than I love myself
And still that ain’t enough
If this is a dream I don’t want to wake up”

Another great Tiff photo!

It was crazy windy this day!

Right after the ceremony, we were taking a little break at the altar to let the guest clear out of the church. Emily’s dad walked up and stood where Ryan and Emily are in this photo and a moment of inspiration struck! This is just the church altar lights!

I loved the way they used their engagement photos on this welcome/favor table!

Hands-down one of the coolest parts of this wedding was the Gastrotruck!!!

A few hours after dinner, Nate from Natedogs brought his hot dog cart for a late night snack!
